Alireza Vaselali, M.S.

Coastal Process Specialist
Alireza Vaselali is a specialist in Physical Oceanography with over 15 years of expertise in coastal processes, including sediment transport, wave dynamics, currents, and numerical simulation of marine phenomena. After graduating in 2006 with the top rank in his master’s degree, he worked on various projects such as modeling nearshore hydrodynamic conditions, designing intake and outfall pipelines, managing and preventing oil spill pollution in aquatic environments, designing recreational marinas, utilizing renewable marine energy sources as alternatives to fossil fuels, designing various types of marine docks, and conducting feasibility studies and economic evaluations for marine projects. After earning an MBA in 2015, he developed a strong interest in integrating new and interdisciplinary knowledge, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, into his primary field of expertise. Since founding ATM Company in 2012, he has been dedicated to advancing innovative solutions in marine and coastal science.

Boshra Vafaie is one of those interested in the field of artificial intelligence applications in solving coastal and marine engineering challenges with specialized experience in physical oceanography and computational fluid dynamics. Since 2007, she has participated in extensive interdisciplinary projects using machine learning along with numerical modeling and field research. Most of her projects are aimed at studying dynamic processes, complex interactions of the ocean and atmosphere, and monitoring and predicting changes in the marine environment in order to provide innovative engineering solutions. Dr. Vafai holds a Ph.D. from Tehran University of Science and Research in the field of physical oceanography. Publishing numerous articles in prestigious scientific journals and presenting results at conferences, along with his teaching experience, is part of his commitment to the advancement of oceanography and helping to better understand the complex changes in marine systems.
