ENERGY
Countries in the Middle East, which possess 48.3% of the world’s oil reserves, play a vital role in global oil production. The 12 largest oil fields in the Middle East are located in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE, and more than 15 million barrels of oil are extracted daily from them. This underscores the importance of research and development on energy-related topics in the region.
Offshore pipelines, deep-water oil and gas extraction platforms, oil pollution, and environmental issues are ongoing and significant concerns in this area. Since its inception, ATM has paid special attention to these matters, having carried out numerous research and operational projects in these fields that Some of the most important projects in which the consultancy has been involved are highlighted below
On the other hand, to limit the rise in global temperature to 1.5˚C, a key goal of the Paris agreement, CO2 emissions from the energy sector need to reach net zero by 2050. According to IEA analysis, methane emissions from fossil fuel operations need to decline 75% from 2022 levels by 2030 on a path to limit warming to 1.5˚C. This highlights the importance of renewable energy projects, including solar energy, wind energy, energy from waves and currents, as well as tidal fluctuations. With an eye toward the future, this company places a special emphasis on renewable energy.
